Patient endurance with dignity — one of Japan's quiet virtues. Every hour your block holds is a small gaman.

hitoiki — one breath
hee-toh-ee-kee · [çi.to.i.ki]
Literally “one breath”: the smallest unit of calm. The 15-second pause is exactly that — one deep breath before you decide.

Metal 金 with the sign for locking: the key. Yours deliberately does not live on this device but in your inbox.

koe — the voice
koh-eh · [ko.e]
A mouth beneath a chime stone: the voice as something carried. In Kaze, 声 presides over feedback — a few words, no account, no forms. A voice, not noise.

kokoro — heart and mind
koh-koh-roh · [ko.ko.ɾo]
The stylized heart: in Japan the seat of feeling and reason at once. Good tools serve the kokoro instead of feeding on it.

ma — the in-between

The sun 日 in the gateway 門: the moment light falls through the gap. Ma is the deliberate in-between that lets music, architecture and conversations breathe. Exactly the space your block creates.

seijaku — deep stillness

The stillness after the last note. In the tea ceremony one of the four core values: harmony, respect, purity — and stillness (和敬清寂).

The character joins 青 (clear, blue-green) with 争 (to strive): stillness is nothing passive but hard-won calm. That is why it watches over the setup screen — quiet is a decision.
